About me

I was born in England, London, and grew up in Germany, Wiesbaden. Prior to entering University, I worked as a  volunteer nurse (voluntary social year) at St. Josef's hospital in Wiesbaden where I realized that many patients needed psychological support and counselling for their medical treatments being successfulIn 2001 I completed my Master's degree in Human Biology and Sociology from the Johannes-Gutenberg-University, Mainz, Germany. I also served as a student assistant at the connected Max-Planck- Institute and I continued working in nursing care in hospitals.

In 2002 I was awarded a scholarship from Ulm University to study at their Medical Faculty, Institute of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, Section of Health Psychology. I was a research assistant at the University Clinic Ulm and a member of the interdisciplinary colloquium. I earned my doctoral degree (Ph.D./ Dr.biol.hum.) in 2006.  My dissertation focused on the psychosomatic health of female immigrants and refugees in Germany.

While completing my doctoral thesis I worked as a volunteer in Lesotho/Africa with HIV/AIDS Patients and trauma survivors.  I went under additional psychotherapy training in Germany.

In 2008 I collaborated with several medical practitioners and mental health facilities in Thailand and I am formally registered at the German, Swiss and British embassies in Bangkok.

In 2018 I have lived one year in Manchester, UK to support my children's education.

Besides being a mental health professional I was a lecturer, adviser and researcher at the Graduate School of Psychology, Assumption University, Bangkok.

I work with clients from around the globe who are in difficult life situations caused by individual factors. I will help you to grow as a person, rather than being another number in the system. As the mother of three daughters I understand the challenges that expatriate parents can face when bringing up their children in a foreign environment.
